Instructions for downgrading iOS A6 and A7 devices using LeetDown

In addition to manually running commands with Vieux, we can also use a software on macOS called LeetDown. This article will guide you how to use LeetDown to downgrade iOS devices A6 and A7.

Note: LeetDown is not compatible with virtual machines.

Supported devices:

Downgrade to iOS 10.3.3: iPhone 5s, iPad Mini 2 (except J87AP), iPad Air.
Downgrade to iOS 8.4.1: iPhone 5, iPad 4.

Prepare:

A Mac (macOS 10.13 +).
Download LeetDown's dmg file here and install it on your Mac.

Perform.

In this guide, I use iPhone 5s iOS 12.5.6 to downgrade to iOS 10.3.3 on Mac Mini M1.
After installing LeetDown, open it, you will see it asks the device to be in DFU mode, now connect your device to your Mac and put it in DFU mode.

Now click on Select 10.3.3 iPSW which will display 2 options for you: download iPSW or select the pre-loaded iPSW file.

After downloading iPSW or selecting the iPSW file, LeetDown will decompress it. Now the Downgrade button has appeared, click Downgrade to proceed with downgrading the device.

When preparing to run, LeetDown will ask if you want to save the SHSH blob or not. This depends on whether you want to save or not, choose as you like, and I will choose Skip (not save the SHSH blob).

While LeetDown is running, if you are using a Mac running an Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2...), when you see the words "[+] 5 second cooldown, re-plug now if needed on Apple Silicon", quickly unplug it. unplug the cable and plug it back in, a total of 3 times until the words “[+] Starting restore process” appears, now all you have to do is wait.

Finally, we will see the text “[+] Restore succeeded!“, so the process of downgrading iPhone 5s from iOS 12.5.6 to 10.3.3 has been successful. Please check the device and install it again.
